About Me
As the Assistive Technology teacher at the Tennessee School for the Blind, I introduce students to technology that can help them be successful throughout school and life. I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a teaching degree in special education. I have received my master’s in Vision from Trevecca Nazarene University. I was certified as an Assistive Technology Professional in May of 2024. I have been teaching for the past eight years. As a user of assistive technology, I can relate to the experiences of my students. My goal is to be the inspiration someone needs to work harder. In my spare time, I like to build accessible websites. Learning about the latest technology and what it can do and introducing it to others is the best part of what I do.
This School year I will be adding on the role of teaching Computer Science and Robotics.
